Addresses for internet web pages (URLs, or Uniform Record Locators) must be entered exactly.
Some web sites require that you register before you can obtain information, especially news services and on-line journals.
There can be several reasons for getting a “File Not Found” error message. Verify the address, and try again later. The problem might be with the web server (computer) where the web pages are stored.
To find a web site if you don’t have the address, use a search engine to look for the organization or web page name.
Consider the source when you get information off the Internet. Just because it’s on a web page doesn’t mean it’s accurate!
A few websites that are particularly useful are indicated by an asterisk (*) and Bold Type.
